Inspired by changing pocketknife laws in the United Kingdom, the Urban Leaf Blade is a non-locking folder that combines the best features of your grandfather's traditional pocketknife with the convenience of clip carry and one-handed opening. The blade of the knife is held open by a notched joint at the knife’s pivot. When closing the blade, the notch produces roughly 20 pounds of resistance--functionally similar to traditional slip-joint penknives. To achieve even greater control and comfort, Spyderco added a deep finger choil that positions the index finger on the bottom of the blade directly under the thumb. This lets you choke up nearer the cutting edge for greater dexterity and helps protect against accidental closure of the blade. The Urban Leaf Blade features a full-flat-ground CPM-S30V blade, safety orange G-10 handle scales and a tension-wire clip that carries deeply in the pocket, tip-up, and either left or right-handed.
